Echoes by Erin Quinn

One day Tess Carson gets the call she's always feared. Her sister has vanished.

And so Tess rushes to a small town in California to look for answers. While the police follow evidence that connects her sister to a brutal murder, Tess is drawn into a danger that seems to reach back to the town's tortured past. Two enigmatic brothers offer Tess their help but the more she learns, the more they draw her in, the more she realizes that one of them is responsible for her sister’s disappearance. But which one? As Tess searches for clues about her sister, she begins to experience strange and terrifying visions. Not simply hallucinations, they are flashbacks to a past life where Tess relives the heartbreak of another woman—one who is also torn by violence and love. Tess can’t deny the connection she feels to this woman, nor can she deny the sense that history is bent on repeating. Two men. Two brothers. One woman. A deadly combination.

As the echoes of a long forgotten tragedy reverberate through her life, Tess realizes she must face her deepest fears before she can escape the terrifying cycle of vengeance and at last find the love denied her in a time gone by.

"Wow, right out of the blue and just when you least it expect it, a knock-out novel of romantic suspense. From the first page to the last, author Erin Quinn deftly juggles two intertwining stories, one taking place in the present day and another more than 150 years earlier, delivering nothing less than a fascinating read.... ECHOES is so far above the general run of romantic suspense, that I unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre." ~ All About Romance

What happens when saucy, independent musician, Cassidy James, finds herself with newly discovered psychic powers and must rely on handsome, maverick FBI agent Zach Hatcher to keep from becoming a psychic serial killer's next victim?  Cassidy must learn to control her powers to help stop the killer while learning that relationships between people with psychic powers are just as confusing, but much more steamy than normal ones.  Zach fights to control his growing attraction for the killer's intended victim, while overcoming his past, which has caused him to be leery of relationships with women who possess psychic gifts.

Night Corridor by Joan Hall Hovey

After nine years in Bayshore mental institution, once called the lunatic asylum, Caroline Hill is finally being released.

There will be no one to meet her. Her parents who brought her here…are dead.

They have found her a room in a rooming house, a job washing dishes in a restaurant. She will do fine, they said. But no one told that women in St. Simeon are already dying at the hands of a vicious predator. One, an actress who lived previously in her building.

And others.

And now, as Caroline struggles to survive on the outside, she realizes someone is stalking her.

But who will believe her? She's a crazy woman after all.

Then, one cold winter's night on her way home from her job, a man follows and is about to assault her when a stranger intercedes.

A stranger who hides his face and whispers her name.

"The mystery and suspense in this novel is outstanding, truly top notch, in the vein of Mary Higgins Clark, but—dare I say—even better? What really struck me as brilliant was Ms. Hovey's ability to paint the picture of an innocent, a woman who'd been raised by an institutional staff since the age of seventeen, when a horrendous event tore her heart out and separated her from reality. Caroline's inner thoughts, her hesitant and sometimes awkward speech, the turmoil she feels with each simple step toward freedom, her frail courage…each of these felt real and authentic. I grew incredibly fond of this protagonist, and with each brave step she took, I found myself cheering her on.
