Dreamheart Spotlight Update # 2

A while back I gave an update on John Gurtshaw/ Dreamheart Spotlight # 13  and his acting role on the online comedy, Georgian Way.

Last night, I chatted on Facebook with a model I've had the pleasure of working with in numerous photo shoots.  Well she brought up John which got me to thinking about Georgian Way.  In less than a year's time it's become the LA Web Series Festival 2013 Official Selection and international sensation.

I'll admit I'm behind on my episodes. In this post I'll play catch up and at the same time introduce those of you who may not be familiar with the show.

Dreamheart Spotlight # 34

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes!

“I grew up being ‘prepared’ to become a Miss America contestant”, said aspiring model Jojo West.  “As a child my mother placed me in beauty pageants. I took etiquette classes and modeling classes.”

While haute maintenance from the outside Jojo’s childhood experience in the industry hasn't always been glitter and sparkle. “In my teens I interviewed with John Casablanca, but was told I was a bit too ‘fat’”, she said.  “ I wanted so badly to be picked up [by] them that I began to practice unhealthy eating habits, to put it bluntly I developed an eating disorder.”

During that time, Jojo stopped modeling completely.   “[I] realized that I wasn't prepared for it. I hadn't learned to love and accept my own uniqueness …”  

After a 15 year hiatus from modeling, self-exploration and improvement, Jojo is returning to the scene with a new attitude. 

“I decided to re-enter the modeling industry last year”, she said.  “I felt it was time to go back into the work I never stopped thinking about!”

“When I decided to start modeling again I knew that the most difficult thing for me would be doing nude or implied work, mostly because of the insecurities that most women have. That’s why I decided my first shoot should be implied and nude. It was a good decision. After seeing the final images it gave me the confidence to continue. I saw myself as others see me. Many shy away from nudes or implied  I see it as expression and art. The human form is beautiful regardless whether it’s a size 2 nude model or a size 10 nude model. Art and beauty are all about perception.”

Jojo’s personal growth and self-acceptance is an inspiration to women everywhere.  “A lot of people don’t know about my struggles with eating disorders or depression when I was younger; [yet] I’m always willing to discuss them and share my experiences”, she said.

“I've always wanted to show the world that being beautiful isn't just about having a pretty face and being a size “, she said. “ Beauty is the embodiment of intelligence, confidence and kindness bundled up into the amazing creation that is the human form and sexy is a state of mind!  Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes!”

With Jojo’s return comes a new set of goals more realistic and palpable.
“A lot of models or aspiring models envision themselves with a 6 page spread and a being on the cover of Vogue. Not to say that I wouldn't jump at the opportunity (who wouldn't ) but my goals are modest, mostly. I would love to be published in a magazine or catalog. However, if it doesn't happen right away or ever, I wouldn't be discouraged from continuing my career as a model. It’s something I enjoy doing. Ideally, I would love to be picked up by an agency that works with “plus” size models. I think the fashion industry needs more of them.”

With three languages under her belt, Jojo also has certifications in medical and dental lab assisting and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  And yet she is still not easily fit into any one cookie cutter stereotype.
“Most people are shocked to find out I consider myself a goth chick”, she exclaimed. “ I’m so chipper and happy and most associate goth with being angry and sad. I like dark colors; black, purple, blue, they’re just great! My musical tastes are so varied I couldn't be identified as just one, but overall I prefer rock and industrial some of my favorite artists are: VNV Nation, Velvet Acid Christ, Aesthetic Perfection, Garbage, Evanescence and Ani Difranco to name a few.”

Jojo went on to explain, “I am very well spoken, to the point that I normally don’t understand slang terms or Ebonics  I am also quite chatty. Those that work with me often have a hard time keeping a straight face. I like to make others smile, laugh and feel comfortable so I often tell jokes or silly embarrassing stories about myself to make everyone relax.”

Jojo is not currently signed to an agency. Yet her maturity, self-confidence and intelligence are sure to make it easy for others to work with her, in front or behind the camera.

Whatever the future holds for Jojo, she’s taking life one step and runway at a time.
“I’m planning to audition for Full Figured Fashion Week (FFFW) in DC but I think I may be a few sizes too small to make the cut. There are some other auditions coming up I’m hoping to attend. Unfortunately it seems that there aren't many designers in the area working with curvier models. It would be great to meet those that do!”

Dreamheart Spotlight # 33

"Everyone's unique in a way they have their own way that they think about things, who they see the world in their own view..."

"I think I've been drawing since I was three years old...three or five years old.  When I was young, I thought drawing was something unique to me....like to be able to express yourself through different ways", said 15-year-old aspiring graphic novelist, Marqueet DeShields.

Marqueet is not from an artistic family.  His knack for graphite illustrations defies the laws of genetics. "My aunt used to ask me what I want to be in the future, I always said I wanted to be a cartoonist", he said.

Inspired mostly by cartoons from his younger years as well as current favorite prime time television, Adventure Time and Pesona 4 the animation to name a few, Marqueet scowls entertaining illusions. 

"Many of my characters, I just draw from,um like a reference from another characters I've seen before."  For Example "the various Manga books I've been reading lately:

• Pandora Hearts
• Black Rock Shooter~Innocent Soul~
• Shakugan no Shana "

"I use a bit of ideas from their style then I just apply it to my characters.  Then later on I try to come up with my own styles so I can make it more unique", he said.  

"I do name them, but sometimes I feel better asking other people what to name them."

On observation, it's clear that Marqueet's drawings tell a story.

"I make little short comments. I write my stories down in a book as well to pine out what the story line is going to be", he said.

"Sometimes I draw warlike apocalyptic things...sometimes I draw peaceful things...depending on the story."

"For me normally [it takes] a few days to finish a drawing.  If I have nothing else throughout the day, maybe 30 minutes but usually a few days."

Trailing in the academic preening of celebrities and lyrical icons Jada Pinkett-Smith and Tupac Shakur; Marqueet is currently a freshman at Baltimore School for the Arts.

To achieve the privilege of seeing his name on the attendance roster,  Marqueet competed among other hopefuls.  With on the spot drawing, an audition, displaying his progressive portfolio, complete with a house visit, he gained acceptance just last September.

"I was pretty nervous , he said.  "It's a real professional school.  I was afraid maybe my posture as I was sitting was't right or the clothes I was wearing.  The little things I was worried about."

As the name in tells, this school focuses on fine arts.  Adding...Shading...Drawing...Drawing shapes! What separates it from other schools is the 4 hour block of instruction set aside for art.

"Right now we're just drawing bags and distorted shapes", said Marqueet.  "Drawing boxes was the first thing we did.  Of course it sounds easy but it really isn't."

"A lot of people said I should go there. I thought I'd try it out to see what it would be like. So far it's interesting", he said.

While Marqueet is still growing and working on his distinctive touch, he does have quirks that are uniquely him.

"I often erase a lot..."  Yet he never simply discards a flawed project, rather opt to draw over it in preservation.

This teen dreamer is at the age where his parents are expecting him to take on a part time job and learn financial responsibility.  

"When I was young some people did pay me in candy to draw something", he said. "Nowadays people just admire." 

"I'd rather my summer job have something to do with drawing, to be honest."

Marqueet currently has his sights on animation and digital art with the hopes of sharing his passion via a social media platform.  "Hope to create an account with DeviantArt soon", he said.

When he's not drawing, he's online. "But that don't seem like much of a hobby, does it", he mused.

Dreamheart Spotlight #32

"Everyone wants to be the hero.... "

"I am humble with no attitude and never give up. I'll keep trying until I can't physically move anymore. Even if I hurt like hell I'll still do it and keep quiet."

"My typical day used to be work at 7:30 am as a marketing director, a stunt man actor in the Tournament of Kings show 5 pm-10 pm, then home or workout, movies with the poodz [(girlfriend)] and dogs before bed. Then do it all again", said Hawaiian native Shane Kawamura.

Shane is a man of many hats. He's a model, actor, stuntman and fighter.

"[Modeling] was something my mom thought I'd be good at as a kid. I never wanted to do it until later in life, I owe all of my success to her."


"I was a Muay Thai kick boxer and started being approached by people and photographers to do shoots because they liked my physique and look and I went with it. I actually got my role as one of the main 5 Tap out fighters in [a] movie because they saw me fight a guy in the ring without my shirt while waiting as an extra."

"I just went with the flow...and I actually started doing very well in it and finally felt what my mom saw in me", he said.

"My fast reflexes from fighting and training as well as being an athlete my whole life helped make [being a stuntman] an easy transition."

"Muay Thai is my specialty, then grappling, and boxing. 95% Muay Thai though."

Shane's role models are Mila Jolovich and Kate Beckingsale because they do amazing fights in films and can still look amazingly sexy at the same time.

His ideal acting role is in action films. "Everyone wants to be the hero. I've never met anyone who hasn't ", he said. "I'm always looking out for people and I get protective when they are in trouble."

"My movie art of submission hit theaters September 21st [2012] and premiered in San Jose." 

Aside from his motion picture debut, Shane has a few projects open to the public.

"My show Tournament of Kings is on every night except Tuesday at the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas", he said.

It takes hard work to mold the body into toned muscle, but Shane makes it sound almost easy. 

"I just eat clean and don't ever eat fast food or starches", he said. "... and train with a lot of reps and martial arts workouts."

Shane is beyond aspiring at this stage of the game, yet his humbleness is something to be admired. 

"I have far surpassed my goals. I never thought I'd ever be in a movie, star on a cable tv show episode, be on a magazine cover, or be in a live Las Vegas show. I'm actually living a dream and I don't even know it at times", he joked.

"Now I see myself going after new goals knowing that I can succeed in this industry. What I really want is to be in another movie like the matrix, underworld, or resident evil doing fights."

This tough guy is surprisingly also down to earth and has weaknesses we can all relate to. 

"I hold back a little too much when I shouldn't. I need to be more vocal", he said. "Few people know that I am a great artist and love to draw, do graphic arts, and write songs. I love the simple things in life like eating dinner and watching a movie at home on the couch. I don't drink alcohol or go out much at all."

Dreamheart Spotlight #31

I prefer to do urban, commercial, print, and lingerie... 

“On the day the world was supposed to end (12-21-12) I was in Baltimore MD doing a photo shoot with photographer Timothy Christmas,” said 24-year-old aspiring model, Kathiria.

“The craziest thing I have done (well not so crazy) is travel really far only to audition for about 1 minute, but I still landed the gig,” she mused.

Kathiria, Kathy for short, is highly anticipating her 25th birthday in March, yet she’s still a big kid at heart. “Something I think hardly nobody knows is I still like watching cartoons”, she laughed. “Not always but I do. Sadly my all-time favorite cartoon is no longer on TV (Hey Arnold).”

This go getter doesn't let anything stand in the ways of her dreams, not even physical limitations.

“…though I am only 5'5 I have what it takes, I know the right ways to pose, how to pose to make myself look taller how to stare at the camera,” she said. “I mostly get booked for commercial/print. Not really high fashion because of my height which for that they usually look for taller girls. I sometimes get booked for runway because I know how to walk and I look much taller in heels so that's a good thing.”

“I prefer to do urban, commercial, print, and lingerie but nothing that exposes too much.”

Kathiria is a 3 year modeling veteran with formal training from Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Harrisburg, PA.

“I took some courses but did not finish all,” she said. “[Yet,] I learned the right way to pose when working with lighting, how to play around with jewelry if I were modeling jewelry How to apply makeup, or how to present myself at a casting etc... I also took some classes for runway. I took some acting classes as well.”

When she isn't modeling, Kathiria works at a retirement home and is a loving mother.

“I …have a year in a half baby boy who I love with all my heart and is my motivation to everything. A lot of people thought I wouldn't be able to model after I had my son, but I did not give up.”

Kathiria has a 10 year plan just in case modeling doesn't pan out and yet she maintains a healthy outlook on the industry.

“I know that modeling is not an easy field and a lot of people want to get into it,” she said. “But it is all about networking, what you know about modeling how passionate you are about it that will get you far.”

“I never saw modeling as a career but as something I loved to do,” she said. “I took it as a hobby but I have been presented with so many opportunities that I thought to myself, why not make it a career? If it happens and it somehow turns into a career perfect!”

“My goals as a model will always be to progress have people want to work with me, hopefully become a well noticed model not only local but around the world. I see myself progressing in this field by the people I meet. I always get advice from photographers or models [that] have more experience and I learn more as I continue modeling.

Dreamheart Spotlight # 30

The world can be changed by something as small as a single photograph.

The ability to tell a story with images has long since been considered an art form. It does not simply amount to pointing and clicking but focusing on things that are "ordinary" and allowing people to view them as you would-extraordinary.

Thus are the thoughts of 19-year-old, aspiring fashion photographer, Becky-Marie.

"I also love the making of surreal photographs that take the viewer into another world and tell a story, or convey a powerful message," she said. "Post-processing always helps, as you can transform an image to anywhere your imagination can take you to."


Becky-Marie's passion for this field is evident when she speaks and it is simply poetic.

"I love the way that one photograph can bring people together, inflict emotions, and tell a story. It's that one moment in time that will never happen again, but is saved forever so that when you look at it, you're transformed back into that moment, saved forever. For fashion photography it's a little different, however, it's almost like a fantasy world that you can escape to in a story. You can apply it to your life."

Self-taught, Becky-Marie has gained much in the form of hands on experience. "Ever since picking up a camera at age 6, receiving my first Polaroid throw away camera, I knew. I could spend hours taking pictures and went through like a million film rolls", she mused.

"Fashion has always inspired and driven me, along with conceptual photography", she said. "...combining the two to create conceptual fashion images was easily second nature for me."



While in her early internet surfing years, Becky-Marie discovered photographers who would one day become her heroes.

"I discovered a photographer who really inspired me with her dark conceptual style, Lara Jade. Her work inspired me to get better, and shoot more story-like dark editorials. I am also greatly influenced by the great Paolo Roversi, a fashion photography genius in my eyes", she said.

Things haven't always been as smooth flowing for Becky-Marie.

"It's really tough coordinating shoots at times as older members of my crew will look down upon my age, and not corporate. However, still being entrusted with designer work or editorials for important projects, I do the best of my ability to manage all the crew members of the shoot and get the shots I need", she said.

"It is also difficult breaking into the world of fashion on a budget. Contrary to popular belief, most of my published work is simply trade work, and the majority of the time comes out of my budget. I set up the entire team of make-up artists, hair stylists, wardrobe stylists, designers, etc, and it's my duty to find ones who will either work for trade or pay them from my own accord. I'm also responsible for props, location permits, model contracts, equipment for the shoot, food, and of course, my own time invested including photo-retouching after the shoot that can sometimes be a few days work.

You can plan and plan for a shoot, but a lot of things can go wrong come shoot day. The best thing you can do is brainstorm quickly, stay calm, and try to make things work as best as you can.

The fortunate side is, I love my career, and I'm very passionate about what I do. Despite all the stresses and weight on my shoulders, I always get through the hurdles in the end, and come out with better images."


In a recent relocation to the West side, Becky-Marie was fortunate enough to catch a break.

"California is just amazing. I would be lying if I said [moving here] was only to chase my dreams, however it still played a major part in my decision. See, photography only works as a job where there is work.. and where else in the world (minus the other fashion capitals) would I be able to find more opportunities to work? In just 3 months of moving here, I've done more for my photography than in the last year."


"Cliche contacted me a few months ago after seeing my photography portfolio on a networking site called Model Mayhem, and wondered if I could pull a shoot together in time for their deadline in November. They told me the concepts they wanted (New years in the City) for the series, and I pulled an amazing team together to shoot in San Francisco. Check out Cliche's holiday issue for my feature - out now! "

Beck-Marie is looking forward to 2013 in her promising new home.

"I want to make beautiful, powerful art. I want to move people, and I'm driven by this crazy industry we call fashion, that I WILL eventually break in to. I love collaborating with others to change the world...which, I believe, CAN be changed by something as small as a single photograph."

Dreamheart Spotlight # 29

... you don’t have to be extraordinarily beautiful to model...

“In my opinion you don’t have to be extraordinarily beautiful to model- you just need to be driven, realistic about your goals, and healthy”, said 18-year old aspiring model Natalie Evon.

“When I was a little girl, I fell in love with the world of fashion. My mother had always wanted to model and some of my best memories were looking through her portfolio images and playing dress up in her clothing. She was going to open a modeling school, however life got a bit crazy so she never got to. She and I would always watch Victoria Secrets fashion shows on TV and attend local community shows, which is when I realized what an art form modeling was and decided to pursue it.”

Natalie’s ultimate dream is to model for Victoria’s Secrets. “I would love to make at least a part time career out of modeling” she said. “I am loving watching how I progress with each shoot I do. Every time I appear more confident and relaxed in the photos, and although every shoot has been unique and a bit of a challenge, seeing the images is so rewarding!”

This college freshman has a regiment that would put host on FitTV to shame.   “I eat a diet of 100 % Organic and all natural foods”, she said. “I am very big on juicing, protein shakes and drinking LOTS of water. I used to go to the gym 4-5 times a week, however because of a recent knee injury I have not been as often. I try to go running when my knee is not acting up, and enjoy other exercise activities such as dancing and boxing. Also I am in love with the Brazil Butt Lift from Beachbody.com workout! It’s a series of DVDs that are fun and upbeat that work wonders for your backside, thighs and abs! They are a challenge but the results come quickly!”

With her eyes currently on an academic career path, Natalie still finds time to schedule fashion events. “At the moment I am available almost all summer,” she said; “However this fall when school starts back up I will busy, however I will always try to make time in my schedule for a shoot I am really interested in. I am definitely open to traveling as long as all expenses are covered (flight, hotel, gas…).”

Dreamheart Spotlight # 28

Follow your dreams and when nothing is going right, go left!

“I’m not afraid of jumping out there and take it to the next level”, said 16-year-old Cortney Churchill. “When I’m acting I can be who ever I want and that’s why I enjoy doing it.”

This aspiring model and actor has his eyes on auditioning at Juillard, “I’m a senior..whooooo!! School means a lot to me, that’s why I’m always so hard on myself,” he said.

“I’ve been interested in becoming a model when I was in the sixth grade”, Cortney said. “ I would be in the market and look at a magazine and just wonder what if that was me.”

Cortney has received training in the arts at John Casablanca’s Modeling & Acting Career Center in Atlanta. “ I’m still new to the game but I have some experience”, he laughed.

“My role model is Tami Moon. She’s my theater teacher and I’ve became fearless because of her! She motivates me to go higher, taught me a lot about acting, and actually believes in me. “

This ambitious youth’s celebrity favorites include Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie. Cortney has participated in a handful of local productions thus far. “I’ve been in multiple plays such as A Raisin In the Sun, Little Shop of Horrors, The Good Doctor ; And I just got casted in a play called “Lord I Believe” written by Derrell Owens, which will be performed in 2013.”

As far as global production on a higher scale of broadcasting, Cortney has a preferred role in mind. “I would like to play a physico, something crazy, something that could be challenge”, he said. This actor’s diversity extends beyond performance and sometimes bleeds into profile cast. Yet Cortney wishes to clarify any ethnicity confusion: “...I’m not mixed,” he laughed,” everyone assume that I’m mixed because of my hair. I’m African American! “

Cortney may be a serious mature model and performer, but he still indulges from time to time. “I eat a lot of salad. Salad is good”, he said. “I like soul food, but I love sushi!! Sushi is amazingly good. I go to the gym whenever I have free time or I work out in my room, do about 75 pushups a day, and 50 crunches. “

With the summer break underway, Cortney’s schedule is wide open for booking. He ended the interview with tips for other aspiring actors, “Hmm…STAY IN CHARACTER!!” “My theatre teacher would always tell me” he laughed, “never give up, even after a million times you’ve been told NO! Follow your dreams and when nothing is going right, go left. “

Dreamheart Spotlight # 27

" 'Dreams only work if you do' and boy I tell you is it true , honestly there has been times I wanted to quit but I fought it and so many good things came my way”, said up and coming independent hair artist , Corrin Allen.  Corrin has been in the industry for over 5 years and was named 2011 Las Vegas Hair Artist of the year.  She is currently the lead hair stylist for several Las Vegas performers and is a freelance writer.


“I became a stylist mainly because I wanted to help woman feel beautiful inside and out”, she said.   “What inspires me most is music it puts me in a mood that connects my emotions and mind and makes me feel my work.”


Corrin loves crazy up do show hair with lots of colors and items in the hair . “Its what I call art” ,she said. “I was told I was a emotional stylist", she laughed, "but depending on the season and colors it changes all the time. So I am never board with my career.”

Of her celebrity clientele, Corrin’s favorite is The Martin Show former actress, Trish Penix (recurring as Sharlice in the boom boom room), “She always motivates me as a person and artist ”, she said.


“The one person who truly inspires me today is Nicki Minaj “, Corrin said.  “She is one person I would love to work with, her style is very unique and says I don’t care if you don’t like me.”


Corrin’s favorite hair products include Redken.  “A must have”, she said, “and my fav[orite] color line is Matrix ALL DAY.”     This renowned stylist warns that consumers “stay AWAY from store products!"


"If it’s not bought in a salon you truly are wasting your money”, she said.  Another tip for the fashion forward diva is, “if you are over the age 12 don’t wear pigtails! that has to be number one don’t !”

Dreamheart Spotlight # 26

“It started when I was about 13 years old,” said aspiring model Mialei Gomez.   “I became obsessed with posing in front of the camera.”

“I have not attended any courses for modeling whatsoever”, she said. “Honestly, if you ask me, I don't believe modeling schools or courses are necessary. I think if you have the talent, that's all that should matter. You can't be taught a talent, it comes from within naturally.”

Mialei  is a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) whose fluent in English, a novice in Spanish and intermediate in Chinese. She believes communication is a big part of life. “With technology going the way it is, it gets harder and harder for people to communicate”, she said. “I do not really like to communicate over emails, social networking, or mail. I like telephones and face to face. However, if needed, I am open to emailing, texting, and social networking. In my opinion, I am a very patient person; after all, patience is a virtue. I am as friendly as can be and can be very open depending on my comfort zone.” 

Others have noted Mialei as having a “heart of Gold” [meaning she care for everyone]. Yet this lady “don't take crap from anybody.”  “I don't like flakes or games. I am strictly a business person”, she said.  “I am very patient, very caring, down to earth and I don't play games, but, if the time is right I have a very big sense of humor. “

With dreams of having her face on billboards, top magazines, and TV, Mialei is open to both full-time and part-time modeling assignments.  “My goals as a model is to become well established, be represented by a legit agency, and make it big by modeling”, she said.  “I see myself progressing by promoting businesses, companies, and having my face sold to top magazines and campaigns, etc...”

“My trademark is my mouth.” 

“Growing up, reading magazines such as ‘Seventeen’ magazine was escapism”, said fashion model Angela McAdrian (better known as Angela the Muse). “I always felt like I belonged somewhere in that kind of world. I felt my look fit in more to the images I seen in those magazines (models are unique beauties) and never really compared myself to what was around me. I loved fashion photography, and beauty and wanted a place I could fit. I think everybody wants a place that they could fit a little, you know. It was very gratifying to find that. I love it still because of what it has given me; it's given me so much.” 

This Chicago phenomenal is known for being very diverse.  “I'm the base. The clients who book me sculpt that base into their creation of choice,” she said. “My trademark is my mouth.” 

Angela likes love, kindness, meditation, God, the avant-garde, house music, freedom, sexy men, fashion photography, eyeliner, nonconformity, and feeling deja-vu. She dislikes lack of class, and just anything negative.   “I try to limit my focus on [negative]”, she said. “I prefer to make my world as beautiful of a place as I can…Positivity rules!”  

With a passion and zest for her career choice, Angela the Muse doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.   “It's fun to be part of creating trends, and just that every day is different, and meeting all different types of people all the time. I do love my life!”

Dreamheart Spotlight # 24

...he rock climbs in his spare time.

“One thing few people know about me is I never been trick-or-treating for Halloween during my childhood,” said aspiring Model/Actor Joseph Amichia Jr.

This laid-back and easy-going gentleman is also a college man currently pursing his 2nd bachelor of science in civil engineering. “What led me to start modeling was being expose to my inspirations of that possible first step into a future career as a movie/TV actor”, he said. “My goals as a model is to be featured in GQ and many other famous publications. Become a household name and known worldwide as a unique talent.”

This Georgian local is of Ghanan heritage. “Other than English I speak a little Spanish, Sarcasm, French and Tre (Ghana dialect)”, he said.

Joseph is also very energetic and health conscious mentioning that he rock climbs in his spare time.

As an actor, Joseph has appeared in over six productions. “I have participated in: Reel Productions (Ramos/Humberto Law Firms); Divine & Extra Entertainment; Quad D Films; Perfect Population/Dyme Empire Brand; Kick Doe Ent; and Fit2DMax”, he said. “I am going to work on improving my acting skills by attending acting school/classes to better my craft to the highest potential”, he said. “The tips to become a successful actor is a strong work ethic. No one wants to collaborate with someone who is lazy. Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice....until your eyes turn red. Take direction very well. LISTEN. Be committed. Proper body language.”

One of Joseph’s biggest dreams is portraying a boxer in a biography movie. “What makes me special is my uncommon, weird in a pleasant way persona”, he said. “Being my own man, never worry what anyone thinks of me or allow others to restrict my purpose on this globe. I don't show alot of emotion. Handling rejection and heavy criticism, very well! In this industry there are more NO's than YES but only the strong survive.”

“My best quality as an actor would have to be my quick line learning technique due to my big memorization skills, which I can add additional magic to my passionate voice.”
