Another Great Review for Into a Dangerous Mind by Tina Gerow

Five Stars from Veronica H., Amazon Reader: "I'm glad I read it because I couldn't put it down. I loved this book and recommend to anyone."

Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Small Press Contemporary Paranormal for 2006

What happens when saucy, independent musician, Cassidy James, finds herself with newly discovered psychic powers and must rely on handsome, maverick FBI agent Zach Hatcher to keep from becoming a psychic serial killer's next victim?  Cassidy must learn to control her powers to help stop the killer while learning that relationships between people with psychic powers are just as confusing, but much more steamy than normal ones.  Zach fights to control his growing attraction for the killer's intended victim, while overcoming his past, which has caused him to be leery of relationships with women who possess psychic gifts.

Teaser Tuesdays: Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3) by Suzanne Collins

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Never was I supposed to hear the words He says he'd like to see you.  But now that I have, there's no way to refuse.

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3)

pg. 229, Mockingjay (The Hunger Games #3) by Suzanne Collins

My tweets will tell you how much this book is affecting me right now!!!!  I'm an emotional mess!

My Book Boyfriend: Finnick Odair

My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by Missie of The Unread Reader.

I was introduced to Finnick Odair in Catching Fire (Hunger Games #2) by Suzanne Collins;and I forgot all about those other guys.  Katniss you fool!  If you don't want him I'll take him.  But at last, he's in love with Annie; I'm taken; and let's not forget he's but a fictional character.  But I can always dream right?!?!  This is why I adore him, complete with my commentary as I read the heart stopping lines:

Finnick Odair is portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin

Try not to droll too much.  "My" book boyfriend, remember?  Go get your own!(lol)

“Want a sugar cube?” he says, offering his hand, which is piled high.  “They’re supposed to be for the horses, but who cares?  They’ve got years to eat sugar, whereas you and I….well, if wee see something sweet, we better grab it quick.”

Why yes, I'll take some sugar.  Thank-you! *Wink*

Tall, athletic, with golden skin and bronze-colored hair and those incredible eyes.
He may have to dye his hair, but those eyes.  He doesn't have to change a thing about those eyes. *SWOON*

He’s been on boats his whole life.  The trident was a natural, extension of his arm.

He’s draped in a golden net that’s strategically knotted at his groin so that he can’t technically be called naked, but he’s about as close as you can get.

*Giggling uncontrollably*  God bless his stylist!

He wets his lips ever so slightly with his tongue.

He has to be able to pull this technique off jusssst right.  LLCool J has the perfect sexy lip lick.  If Finnick can do it like that- the way it's playing in my head......HOT DAMN! Yessir take me now!  (Sorry the country comes out when I'm excited.lol.)

He tips his head in so his lips are almost in contact with mine.  “What about you, girl on fire?  Do you have any secrets worth my time?”

Finnick Odair, you stole the show in my eyes.  I don't care what they say about you being a playboy.  I hope to see more of you in book 3, Mockingjay.

So did any book men give you heart palpitations lately?

Note:  All images of the handsome Tyler Hoechlin were borrowed from his website

Oops!  Sorry I posted early. LOL. I couldn't wait.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2)Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

My rating: ♥♥♥♥♥EPIC

Suzanne Collins continues the amazing story of Katniss Everdeen in the phenomenal Hunger Games trilogy.Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

In this second installment of the Hunger Games, Katniss’ victory comes back to haunt her. She caused the spark of anarchy erupting by the district. The ever spiteful President Snow sees Katniss’ actions of winning the last Hunger Games as an act of treasonous rebellion; and forces her prove her love for Peeta. Ultimately she is forced to participate in an All-star version of the Hunger Games. I must have screamed “NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo” then rant and raved for at least 20 minutes before I got back to the story.

Epic!

Nothing short of epic!

From the first sentence, I felt as if I’m immediately sucked into the book. Suzanne Collins’ beautiful writing style makes it all tangible. I felt every emotion, every injury. All my senses actively reinforced the words. Panem is no longer a world of science fiction but just as believable as a summer vacation location. (One I would dread to visit, of course.) The well developed characters are now extensions of my own family. Catching Fire has teeth grinding scenarios and heart breaking dilemmas. This book does not disappoint and the ending is like a death blow.

DEVISTATION!
